Winebox Accordion
Paper is a material we interact with every day. Though it may seem soft and fragile, it can be transformed into a sturdy structure—or even a musical instrument—through geometric folding. The Winebox Accordion explores the potential of paper and reclaimed winebox wood, utilizing basic origami techniques to reshape materials. By combining paper and discarded wood to create a bellow, this accordion produces 10 notes within a full octave, allowing players to perform simple melodies. Through hands-on exploration of geometry and origami principles, participants will discover how bellows generate sound, turning upcycled materials into musical creations.
