Make your own ocarina from winebox wood.
Waste wooden wine boxes are commonly discarded at airports, hotels, and restaurants, with large quantities sent directly to landfills every day. These wooden boxes are made of sturdy material and often feature unique printed designs, making them highly reusable.
This workshop collaborates with a sheltered workshop to collect, clean, and dismantle discarded wine boxes, cutting them into various animal-shaped pieces. Participants will learn basic woodworking skills, sanding and assembling the wooden components to craft their own six-hole ocarina. This simple and easy-to-learn instrument comes with a tutorial guide, allowing participants to play beautiful melodies.
Through hands-on creation, we give new life to discarded wood—where music and sustainability resonate at your fingertips!
